McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is hiring a CAD Drafter or CAD Designer for full-time onsite work in our Orangeburg, SC office.

As a McCall-Thomas CAD Drafter or CAD Designer, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. The primary responsibilities for this role include: 

• Use AutoCAD and MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applicable software programs. You will need to be proficient using features of AutoCAD such as layering, dimensioning, plotting, coordinates, etc., and use basic math skills for dimension and scale drawing elements

• Apply McCall-Thomas drafting standards to drawings

• Complete material take-offs

• Perform basic electrical engineering calculations, such as conductor sizing, conduit sizing, box         sizing, etc. 

• Experience on electrical or electronic drawings and setting up drafting standards a plus.

 

 

McCall-Thomas will consider candidates with varying levels of experience. The entry level position for this role will be designated a Drafter, and a more experienced hire will be titled a Designer. Pay range will start at $17/hr and will be commensurate with education and experience.

 

What Will You Need:

• Completion of Drafting program through an accredited technical college.

• Minimum two years of Drafting/AutoCAD experience

• Ability to work Mondays-Thursdays (4x10 schedule)

• ESRI experience a plus
