Overall responsibility for managing the performance of the maintenance shop.

Provide direct supervision to department personnel to maintain employee efficiency, effectiveness, teamwork, morale, quality and safety.

Manage the monthly and yearly schedule projections to ensure adequate workload for personnel.

Manage workflow to meet scheduled due dates and production demands.

Work with vendors to optimize material availability and delivery.

Coach, teach, train, motivate and oversee personnel.

Analyze production issues to identify root cause and solutions.

Participate in the hiring of new employees and in the annual review process.

Ensure that any equipment problems are reported and follow-up in order to ensure that effective maintenance support is maintained.

Communicate, administer and enforce company rules, policies and procedures consistently.

Manage inventory of materials.

Give technical presentations as required.

Answer questions from employees and clients concerning regulators, reclosers, transformers and breakers.

Ensure all equipment serviced meets the highest standards of McCall-Thomas prior to being delivered to client.

Assist with generating new business.

Attend any approved seminar/conference/convention pertaining to EUSD.

Assist Director with division budgeting.

Ensure company and personnel meet all SCDOT requirements.
